Terms of Use
These terms explain the rules for using Roteiro, a teleprompter app. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the app. This text is also Roteiro’s end user license agreement (EULA).
Effective September 30, 2026.
Who we are and what Roteiro is
Roteiro is developed by Roniel Santos, referred to here as the “developer”. It lets you write scripts, read them on screen while the camera records, and keep your videos on your device.
License to use
The developer grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the app on your devices, under these terms. The app is licensed, not sold.
The app, the brand, the logo and the code remain the developer’s property. You may not copy, modify, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer or try to extract the source code of the app, except where the law allows it.
Free plan and Roteiro Pro
Roteiro is free to use, with limits: up to 3 saved scripts and none of the Pro features. Roteiro Pro unlocks:
- unlimited scripts;
- “Follow my voice”;
- the mini prompter over other apps;
- remote control by headphones, keyboard or pedal;
- 4K recording;
- mirrored text for teleprompter glass mounts.
The features included in each plan may change with app updates, without affecting a period you have already paid for.
Plans, prices and payment
Pro is sold in three plans: Monthly and Yearly (auto-renewing subscriptions) and Lifetime (a one-time payment with no renewal).
The price and currency are shown on the plans screen before you confirm, and may vary by country and taxes. Payment is made through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play, using the payment method on your store account. The developer does not receive or store your card details.
Subscriptions: renewal and cancellation
- The amount is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically, on the same plan and price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage and cancel at any time in your account settings: on iPhone, Settings › your name › Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.
- When you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for.
- If the price of a subscription changes, the store notifies you in advance and, where required, asks for your consent. Without your consent, the subscription does not renew.
Free trial
The Yearly plan may offer 7 free days to people who haven’t used the trial before. The offer depends on your store account, usually applies once per account, and may change.
If you don’t cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged. If you subscribe before the trial ends, the unused part of the trial is forfeited.
Lifetime plan
This is a one-time payment, with no renewal and no further charges, that unlocks Pro on your store account. “Lifetime” means you don’t pay again and the access doesn’t expire.
In the future, the developer may stop updating or offering the app, and the app may stop working on older system versions. This does not result in any new charge.
Restoring purchases and other devices
Pro is tied to your Apple or Google account. To get it back on another device or after reinstalling the app, tap “Restore purchases” in Roteiro’s Settings, using the same store account.
Apple and Google accounts are separate: a purchase made on iPhone doesn’t apply on Android, and the other way around.
Refunds
Payments are processed by Apple or Google, and they decide on refunds under their own policies. Ask the store directly for a refund: at reportaproblem.apple.com for the App Store, or through Google Play. The developer has no access to the payment and cannot refund on their own.
Nothing here affects your right of withdrawal or any other consumer rights provided by law.
Your content
The scripts and videos you create are yours. They stay only on your device: the developer has no access, makes no copy and cannot recover them.
Make your own backup of anything important. Uninstalling the app, changing devices or clearing the app’s data can permanently remove scripts and videos. You are responsible for what you write and record and for having the right to use that content.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Roteiro to break the law or violate other people’s rights, or to try to get around Pro billing or the way the app works. Get permission from the people who appear in your videos and respect the copyright of the texts you use.
Warranties and liability
The app is provided “as is”. We work to make it work well, but we don’t guarantee it will be free of errors or interruptions, or that it will work on every device.
To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for indirect losses, for lost scripts or videos, or for problems caused by your device, the system or third-party services. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.
If you use Roteiro on iPhone (Apple)
These rules apply if you downloaded the app from the App Store:
- Acknowledgement: this agreement is between you and the developer only, not with Apple. The developer, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Scope of license: the license is limited to use on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- Maintenance and support: the developer is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for the app. Apple has no obligation to provide those services.
- Warranty: if the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are the developer’s responsibility.
- Product claims: the developer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- Intellectual property: if a third party claims that the app infringes its intellectual property rights, the developer, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of the claim.
- Legal compliance: you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo, or designated by the U.S. government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party terms: you must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the app, such as your wireless data service agreement.
- Third-party beneficiary: Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement. Once you accept it, Apple will have the right, and will be deemed to have accepted the right, to enforce this agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new version will be posted on this page with the updated date. Changes that affect what you have already paid for only apply from your next renewals. If you keep using the app after a change, it applies to you.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. To resolve disputes, the courts of your place of residence are chosen, as guaranteed by the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code.
Privacy
How we handle your data is in the privacy policy. Read the privacy policy.
